UNDATED, (KTHV) -- It's our Friday tradition! We find five things to do in Arkansas this week, you have the fun.
#1. THV Night with the Travs -- We invite you Friday night to THV night at the Arkansas Travelers Game at Dickey Stephens Park. The Travs are taking on the Tulsa Drillers. The first 1,000 to show up will get a purple Travs camo cap courtesy of UCA and THV 11. Gates open at 6:10 p.m. and the first pitch is at 7:10 p.m.
#2. 40th Anniversary Blanchard Springs -- Happy Birthday to Blanchard Springs Caverns. They're celebrating their 40th anniversary this weekend. Sunday at 10:30 a.m. there will be a big celebration with music, games and activities. The caverns consist of a three-level cave system, two of which are open for guided tours.
It's located near Mountain View and is a perfect day trip.
#3. Color Me Rad 5k -- By the end of this race, you won't only be drenched in sweat you'll be a colored rainbow from head-to-toe. It's Saturday's Color Me Rad 5k at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds. There's still time to register! A portion of the proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Arkansas. The Color Bombs start flying at 9 a.m. with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every few minutes after.
#4. - Juneteenth Celebration -- The event will be Sunday outside the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. The festivities include a rock climbing wall, vendor giveaways and a fun zone for kids. Juneteenth is recognized as a holiday commemorating the abolishment of slavery. It's recognized in 41 states, including Arkansas. The celebration is free and runs from 11 a.m. to 5p.m.
#5. Father's Day Events -- There are a lot of Father's Day events happening this weekend. On Sunday, dads get in free with a paid child at the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock. Also, there's free Father's Day Fishing at Wildwood Park from 12-5 on Sunday. And if you're looking to see some beautiful landscape check out the Father's Day Cruise on Lake Maumelle on Saturday. Adults are $12, kids, $6.
