LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Temperatures this week have been some of the hottest we've seen so far this year.
THV 11 caught up with some people working out in the heat Friday, and everyone we talked to said the key to beating the heat is to keep yourself hydrated, stay in the shade as much as possible, and take frequent breaks.
"I've dropped sunglasses accidentally and had to go in and get them. Yeah, occasionally you can get in a pool. It's a nice kind of business to be in if you're going to have be out in the heat to be around something cool and refreshing," explained Thomas Martin, who works for Townley Pool and Spa.
Greg Green with US Landscape said he's built up a resistance to the heat but still has to take his time in order to not get over-heated.
