CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. (KTHV) - Three dogs have been released back to their caregivers until the owners appear in court.
According to Cherokee Village Animal Control, Kannon, Thunder, and Sarge are back in at their home until owners Heather and Anthony Weiand appear in court in October.
The dogs were originally put under the care of animal control after 80-year-old Ray Thorton claimed to be attacked by them in his yard on the morning of March 27. However, the Weiands have claimed that the dogs were secured in their kennels with padlocks when the attack happened.
