LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock City Board of Directors has held its first reading for whether or not Mayor Stodola should get a raise.
According to LR Board of Director's representative for Ward 1 Erma Hendrix, the proposal will be up for a second reading and maybe even a vote during the next City Board meeting.
The Board of Directors has been split on the proposal, which would raise Stodola's salary by nearly $20,000. The division comes from a state statute that a mayor's salary should be comparable to the highest paid municipal employee with similar duties.
