UNDATED (CNN) -- Astronomers have determined some interesting characteristics of a planet far, far away. They've found a deep azure blue planet orbiting a star 63 light years away.
It's the first time they've been able to determine the actual color of a planet outside our solar system. The planet, known as HD 189733B, is a gas giant with a daytime temperature of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Here's where things get really interesting. They say on this planet, it may rain liquid glass sideways amid 4,500-mile-per-hour winds!
NASA and the European Space Agency announced the news Thursday.
The observations were made with the Hubble space telescope.
