LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The man charged with killing two Little Rock women in separate incidents and trying to cover up the murders as arson appeared in court Monday.
Anthony Brooks, 27, was already in jail for threatening his mother last week when police connected him to the killings of 50-year-old Gloria Summage and 31-year-old Amy May Hughett last month, said officers with the Little Rock Police Department. He is now being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.
Authorities said he killed Summage and set fire to her house. Police found Hughett next to a pile of burning tires.
