LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV/AP) - A former Little Rock police officer was found guilty Friday morning for distributing half a pound of marijuana, according to Judge James Moody's secretary.
A mistrial was declared in three other counts filed against Randall Tremayn Robinson. Those charges included conspiracy to aid and abet the possession and distribution of marijuana, attempt to aid in possession with intent to distribute, and misprision of a felony.
Robinson and his half brother, former officer Mark Anthony Jones, were accused in 2012 of driving marked patrol cars to escort vans, which an undercover agent claimed were carrying marijuana that had arrived from California.
Jones pleaded guilty in June as part of a plea agreement.
Jones was fired and Robinson resigned shortly after the federal complaint was filed against them in May 2012.
Robinson will be sentenced at a later date.
