BULL SHOALS, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a 33-year-old Illinois man drowned while scuba diving in Bull Shoals Lake in northern Arkansas.

Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers says Philip Schwab of Stovington, Ill., apparently ran out of air while in water 74 feet deep on Saturday. Authorities say Schwab's body was recovered about three hours after he went under and was sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.

Vickers says Schwab was not a certified diver and had been diving with a person who was certified. Vickers says the certified diver ran out of air but was able to make it to the surface.

Schwab's death marks the third drowning on Bull Shoals so far this year.
