MALVERN, Ark. (AP) - Officials say a 45-year-old inmate was found dead at the state prison in Malvern.
The Arkansas Department of Correction says Steve Oldham died Thursday night from an apparent self-inflicted wound. Agency spokeswoman Shea Wilson says Oldham cut his right wrist with a razor blade.
Oldham was serving a 10-year sentence for robbery out of White County.
He was being held at the Ouachita River Correctional Unit in Malvern after being transferred from Cleburne County on a parole violation.
Arkansas State Police and the county coroner responded to the death.
