DEKALB CO., GA (CNN) -- The suspected gunman who opened fire at an elementary school in Georgia faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer.
Police say 20-year-old Michael Brandon Hill had a number of weapons on him, including an AK-47, when he barricaded himself inside the school's front office.
A standoff unfolded at the school on Tuesday, with Hill allegedly firing several shots at police when they arrived. No one was hurt.
The gunman eventually surrendered.
Police say Hill now faces charges of terroristic threats, aggravated assault on a police officer, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
