CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - Conway police officers are looking for a 12-year-old who apparently stole a truck and some money and hasn't been seen since.

Officer Sean Canady with the Conway Police Dept. said a man told officers about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday that his grandson, Justin Staton, stole his truck and money then left.

"My grandson came and told us goodnight, and I don't know, 9:30 or so my wife said something didn't feel right, so she got up, and he was gone," said Robert Cogdell. "My son went out to the garage and saw the truck was missing, and that's when we called the police."

Cogdell said he does not believe his grandson knows how to drive and believes he could have stolen the truck with the help of someone else.

The truck, which is a white 2003 Toyota Tundra with a purple heart Arkansas license, has recently been found in the Conway area on Stockton Road, and nearby residents said it has been there since early morning, but Staton hasn't been found. Messages that Staton sent to a friend indicate that he wanted to leave the state.

Anyone with information on Staton's whereabouts is asked to contact the Conway Police Department at 501-450-6120.
