BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A fundraiser for Kali Hardig and her family is taking place Thursday night, Aug. 22, at Denton's Trotline.
MySaline.com is sponsoring the event, which will feature musician Jocko Deal performing. There is no admission fee to get in, but donations will be accepted at the door. There will also be candy bars and bracelets for sale with the proceeds going to Kali's family.
The 12-year-old has been fighting parasitic meningitis since July and has become the third survivor of the usually-fatal infection.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at Denton's, located at 2150 Congo Road in Benton.
Other events to benefit the Hardig family are also available. An event, called the "Come Swing for Kali" Golf Tournament, will happen Sat., Sept. 14 on the Stone Links Golf course with an 8 a.m. shot gun start. Check in begins at 7 a.m.
Golfers will be charged $75 if paid for by Sept. 9 and $85 per golfer at the event. This covers golf, lunch, cart fees, and golf balls.
This is a 4-man scramble which includes 18 holes of golf with contests, awards, raffle items, and prizes at each hole.
Even if you don't golf, you can sponsor a hole for $200.
