LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - All bridges are now open after several in the city were shut down for inspection, according to the North Little Rock Police Department, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, and the Little Rock Fire Department.
Crews on scene said there were 10 barges total and 2 of them came loose, hitting the pier protectors of the I-30 bridge and Clinton Pedestrian Bridge.
Randy Ort with the Highway Department said one of the pier protectors was struck, but did its job, nothing has hurt the integrity the bridge.
Several of the city's bridges were shut down for an extended period of time while the bridge were being inspected for structural damage.
There have been no reports of injuries.
