LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Lice. They aren't dangerous and they don't spread disease, but they are contagious and can just be downright annoying.
Dr. Carrie Brown with Arkansas Children's Hospital shared more information on head lice this morning.
ACH says the head louse is a tiny, wingless insect that lives among human hairs and feeds on extremely small amounts of blood. Lice (the plural of louse) are a very common problem. Kids are most likely to get lice, but teens can get them too.
