LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas lottery is to start selling tickets for a new $1 million raffle game.
The state Lottery Commission on Monday said the new game will be different from one offered several years ago that didn't meet expectations.
The new game will have three monthly drawings starting in October for prizes worth up to $10,000. A Jan. 2 drawing will decide the $1 million winner.
Lottery director Bishop Woosley says tickets will cost $10 each, but the lottery will sell three for $20 and six chances for $30.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Woosley says the aim is to have steady sales throughout the life of the raffle game.
The lottery also plans to roll out more than 40 new instant ticket games in the coming year.
