LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - We all had those "awkward" years, right? You know, those years between being a really cute kid and the person you are today?
The "Awkward Years Project" is all about people sharing old photos with anyone, young or old, who may be struggling to find their identity.
The original "Awkward Years Project" was started by a graphic designer in Utah named Merilee. In the tumblr dedicated to the project, she said, "I want to share a collection of people sharing their most awkward years and show how great of people they turned out to be. To all of you who are struggling out there, and those that love before and after portraits, this project is for you!"
Several THV 11 newsroom staff members wanted to take part in our very own "Awkward Years Project," and you can see all the photos by visiting our Facebook page. In the portraits, you'll see a current snapshot of some familiar faces, as well as some folks who work behind the scenes at THV 11. Each of them are holding a photo from when they felt like they were going through an "awkward" phase.
Also, many of the THV 11 staff members share memories from their childhood and advice for kids today in each photo.
