DEXTER, MO (CNN) -- Police say a man admitted to potentially exposing more than 300 sex partners to HIV, without telling them.
He's accused of infecting his former live-in partner with the virus.
David Lee Mangum was arrested late last month on a charge of recklessly infecting another person with HIV, a felony.
Police say Mangum told them he didn't tell his partners about his HIV status because of "fear of rejection."
Mangum, who was held on a $250,000 cash bond, was scheduled to be arraigned today in Stoddard County.
If convicted, he could get up to life in prison.
