LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 7, 2013) - Have you ever wanted to learn more about living a vegan lifestyle? Than the first ever Urban Raw Festival is the place for you.
The event is a unique day-long festival that seeks to bring people together who want to "celebrate the gifts of Mother Earth in their natural state."
"We have people coming up to us all the time saying, how can I change my diet, how can I eat less meat, how can I become vegan or vegetarian," says Butterfly, co-director of the Urban Raw Festival. "So we decided to put everyone in one room and show them that once you change your food, than other things change too."
The festival will be today, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at
Wildwood Park of the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, Little Rock. Tickets are
just $8 at the gate. Children under 12 are free.
Come and enjoy everything from music, food demos (vegan and living), acrobatics by RECREATION STUDIOS, children's readers theatre, dynamic workshop presentations, an exclusive performance of the play THROUGH THE EYES OF A BUTTERFLY, film screenings, partner yoga and more.
Proceeds will benefit the Academy of Creative Arts at Shorter College of
North Little Rock and the initiative to create a health and wellness
educational program for undernourished children and families that is
focused on organic and living foods in the midst of an industrial, urban
