MIAMI, FL (CNN) -- If you don't mind cheap wine, you could probably buy about 20,000 bottles of it before you could buy one bottle of this.
A winemaker in Florida is showcasing a ridiculously expensive wine. Winemaker Penfolds says the bottle will cost about $168,000.
It's technically not even a bottle. The wine is stored in a sealed glass ampoule, which the winemaker says will help preserve the wine's quality. There's no cork, since there's no opening in the glass.
Penfolds' chief winemaker Peter Gago says the company will send someone to open the ampoule, wherever the owner wants to drink the wine. Gago adds, "...and you're paying for the experience too, we will travel anywhere in the world, to the top of Mt. Kilama to open this ampoule anywhere."
The wine and its casing were on display at an event in Miami.
