Prosecutor declines to pursue blind man's shooting

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - In the case involving the shooting of a blind man in Randolph County has been dropped.

    According to Prosecuting Attorney in the Third Judicial District, they reviewed the case file of the shooting investigation of Tim King and has respectfully declined to prosecute.

    The investigation involved extensive interviews with both King as well as Matthew Odom, who admittedly shot King on April 28, 2013.

    The office has concluded that the shooting was motivated by self-defense on the part of Matthew Odom after he was threatened by King on Rock Glade Trail, a rural county road in northern Randolph County.

    King was hospitalized for a period of time due to his injuries, but has now been released and has returned home.
