CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A woman's purse was stolen while dropping her kids off at daycare.

Latresha Woodruff, public information officer for Conway police, says the victim was at Kidz University Daycare dropping off her children. The victim told police that she put a blanket over her purse in the front seat, then walked in to the daycare, leaving her car unlocked.

She says when she got back in the car she saw the blanket was in the driver's seat and her purse was gone.

The victim told police she had a handgun in her purse as well as her conceal carry permit along with two cell phones, her wallet with several credit cards.

Responding officers went inside the daycare to see surveillance video. The video showed a maroon Cadillac SUV pull into the drive, but all that could be seen was the front end. Police say the occupant(s) could not be seen. Police could tell by the video someone had exited the SUV and walked away behind the vehicle, then a few seconds later get back into the SUV and drive away.

Whoever was inside the SUV did not take a child to the daycare or enter it.

The pictures show the suspect cashing the victim's checks at a 1st Security Bank in Bryant.
