Misty Dempsey arrested for home burglary in Benton

    BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A Benton woman was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home and stealing several items.

    On Oct. 22, officers responded to a home on Kyle Road about a burglary. The victim told officers that someone had broken into their home and stolen several personal items.

    A detective's investigation led authorities to the suspect, identified as Misty Dempsey, 37.

    Dempsey is charged with residential burglary, two counts of forgery, and theft of property. The forgery charges were a result of Dempsey attempting to use stolen checks at a local business.

    Additionally, Dempsey is an active parolee out of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections. This is an on-going investigation and more charges are possible in the future.
