FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Governor Mike Beebe is to be among dignitaries on hand for the opening in Fort Smith of the Arkansas Regional Service Center for hospitals run by Health Management Associates Inc.
The Tuesday ceremony is an opportunity for the company to show off how it plans to service 23 hospitals and 150 health providers from the center.
The center will also provide for rural health visits, ambulance service and home health centers with services in scheduling, case management and other services.
Health Management is the parent company of Summit Medical Center and Sparks Health System in Fort Smith.
