BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A Saline County attorney pleaded guilty to criminal charges Tuesday. Dustin D. Dyer, Attorney at Law, entered into an agreement with the United States government to plead guilty to one count of using a communication device in furtherance of a drug conspiracy.
In a letter to the public from Dyer & Jones, PLLC, Dyer said, "I am very grateful to my attorneys at the James Law Firm for assisting me in this case, and to the U.S. Attorneys for acknowledging that I have reformed my conduct and offering me a chance at probation. I fully accept all responsibility for my actions. I am sorry that my actions have affected others, and I am thankful to have so many people who have helped me get my life back together and deal with my substance abuse problems. I hope that my actions do not reflect poorly upon the legal community or those who have supported me through these difficult times, including my law partner who was in no way involved in any of this conduct."
Dyer agreed to surrender his law license at a sentencing that will occur in 90 days, and he will continue to work for all of his clients until that time.
