LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A pedestrian's legs were broken after a car ran into them on Thursday.

Police said the accident happened at the corner of Chester Street and Arch Street around 8:18 p.m. They told THV11 that a woman hit a man with the front, right edge of her car after a vehicle in front of her had to swerve to miss him.

The woman told police that she couldn't stop in time or maneuver around the man in the road, according to a police report.

Officers added that both of the pedestrian's legs were broken, and he might have other internal injuries. He was taken to UAMS for treatment.
