PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Just after 11 a.m. Sunday, Pine Bluff Police responded to the 2800 block of South Florida in reference to a man down.
When officers arrived, they found Antonio Jenkins, 23, unresponsive on the couch.
When medical crews arrived, it appeared Mr. Jenkins was deceased. The Jefferson County Coroner pronounced Jenkins dead at 11:53 a.m.
Witnesses said Jenkins was at a party in the early morning hours and was involved in an altercation and was taken home by family members. Jenkins was last seen sleeping and snoring on the couch.
At approximately 11 a.m. family members tried to wake Jenkins, but he was unresponsive.
The cause of death has not been determined, and the incident is still under investigation.
Pine Bluff police are also investigating a shooting that happened on west 4th St., but police are not sure if the two incidents are connected. Details on this shooting are scare, but police said they do believe a party was held at the west 4th St. location.
