NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - As cooler temperatures roll through central Arkansas, a homeless outreach project begins collecting coats for those in need.
THV11 has shared Aaron Reddin's story before. As "the one man van" operator gears up for winter, he's teamed up with Moose Dry Cleaning to collect coats for the unsheltered homeless. So far they've received around 150 coats. Reddin says this project is critical for those in the elements during the winter.
"We counted 503 people living outside in 24 hours and that's kind of our target population that we try to go out and serve...in the woods, under bridges, everywhere from Chenal to the airport," said Reddin.
