WHITE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A man was robbed in his home earlier this month at gunpoint after a woman posing as a stranded motorist asked to use his phone.
The White County Sheriff's Office says on November 2 about 10:30 p.m. a woman posed as a stranded motorist and knocked on the victim's door on Campground Road in Beebe asking for a phone. Authorities say when she was allowed to use the phone, two armed men came in the house and demanded "money in a safe".
The victim explained that he had a small safe hidden, which he gave to the suspects. After this the female and the two men fled towards the back of the house.
Authorities searched the area but didn't find anything.
Detectives are following leads and are also asking that anyone in the area that might have any information, please contact the White County Sheriff's Department. Utilizing the help of a sketch artist, detectives and the victim recently were able to develop a likeness of the suspects.
Anyone who might recognize these individuals or know their identity are encouraged to contact Det. Chancey Warden at (501) 279-6279.
