    Little Rock News:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Jan Lowe, 48, has been identified as the woman found dead after an apartment fire on Tuesday, according to Little Rock Police Department's Sidney Allen.

LRPD said earlier in the week that her injuries appeared to be the result of a homicide, and not caused by the fire.

On Wednesday, the Medical Examiner categorized this suspicious fire death as a homicide. Based on the injuries to the unidentified victim, it was being investigated as a homicide.

"With it being an unwitnessed fatality, Little Rock Homicide is investigating, their crime scene came out and they are doing an investigation," said Capt. Jason Weaver of the Little Rock Fire Dept.

According to a Little Rock Police Dept. incident report, Lowe had reported being beaten and the victim of a carjacking on January 4, three days prior to the suspicious fire.

The investigators are seeking the public's help in developing leads on any suspect(s). Any information would be helpful. Citizens are asked to call 371-4660 to report tips.
