LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of the Walgreens on 12th Street.

The robbery happened just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Walgreens located at 5501 W. 12th Street. When officers arrived, three employees were locked in the front office. One of the employees told police they were unloading a truck when a suspect approached them pointing a gun.

The employees said the suspect forced them all to go to the back of the warehouse, saying he was going to take the truck. After the victims saw the suspect run out the back door, they locked themselves in the front office and called police.

All three describe the suspect as a black male between 5'8" and 5'10" between 180-200 pounds. He was wearing a black Kangol cap and a navy mask up to his nose wearing a black leather jacket. They don't remember what pants he was wearing, but they do remember that they thought the suspect may have been high or drunk.

Police said the suspect did not take the truck because he couldn't find the keys.
