SALINE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - In central Arkansas, the dry and windy conditions are normally associated with summer months have parts of Arkansas at risk of wildfires as well. There are burn bans in 7 counties right now.

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, the list of counties under a burn ban currently include:
    Faulkner
    Franklin
    Garland
    Independence
    Perry
    Stone
    Van Buren

People are urged not to burn anything with it being so windy this week.

Five hundred acres burned across the state over the weekend. One home was lost in Saline County, and there could be more than that.

A fire occurred on Monday in Hot Spring County that burned about 4 acres. According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, most of the fires have been started by people burning debris.
