LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Before we look forward to the rest of the week, let's take a look back at where we've been. In Winners and Losers and tonight, we begin with the boy band One Direction. Just how popular are they?

While touring in Australia, band member Niall Horan tried a piece of vegemite toast, never finished it, and put it back on the plate. The toast got saved and then put on e-Bay, and the top bid was $100,000. Winner: The bus boy who saved the toast.

Loser: Stuck on a Truck. The contest that was a staple of Toadsuck Days is being discontinued by the main sponsor who has a more beneficial way to use that space.

Winner: Hot Springs Village. More specifically, the women's ministry at Balboa Baptist Church, who produced 518 hand sewn pillowcases sent to armed forces deployed in Afghanistan.

Winner: Emily and the K-9 unit with the Benton Police Department. There's a new dog in the department named Ares. It was Emily who gave him that name in a special contest won by the 6th grader at Benton Middle School.

Finally, there's Claire Hetzel, a true winner: She is 16 years old, born without a right arm or shoulder and a missing hip socket.

She suffered from scoliosis early in her life, but with the help of Children's Hospital, she was able to get a hip, and get past the scoliosis.

At age 9 she began playing basketball, and Friday night at the Home School state conference tournament she hit a three-point shot showing the amazing dexterity that she has developed her whole life. Her Saline County Flames Warriors would beat the Pulaski County Flames.
