Pine Bluff Police have arrested Mario Scott in the death his girlfriend, Katesia Weathers.
Scott is charged with capital murder. If convicted, it carries a sentence of death or life without parole.
Weathers went missing in May and her body has never been found.

At approximately 6:00 pm on May 22nd, 2007 26-year-old Katesia Marshaw Weathers was last seen by her grandmother who lives in the 3200 block of West 16th, Street. She was reportedly walking to a friend's house in the area of 17th and Juniper, which is only a few blocks, but never arrived.
A Missing Person Report was filed by Ms. Weathers' mother at approximately 8:00 pm on May 25th, 2007. Ms. Weathers was entered into ACIC/NCIC that same night.
During an extensive investigation 29 year old Mario Scott of Pine Bluff, Ms. Weathers' boyfriend, became a person of interest and ultimately the prime suspect in her disappearance. As the investigation progressed it became apparent that Katesia Weathers had been murdered and her body disposed of. As of this date her body has not been recovered.
The case file encompassing the findings of the investigation was completed and forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review and potential charges. After a comprehensive review of the case file, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed Capital Murder Charges against Mario Scott in the death of Katesia Weathers.
If convicted, capital murder carries a sentence of death or life without parole.
