Nicholas Sheley's cousin, Eric Smith, and brother, Josh Sheley, entered their pleas in Whiteside County court in Morrison, Illinois, Friday.

Josh Sheley is charged with obstruction of justice and concealing a homicidal death. He's being held on $750,000 bond.

Smith is charged with one count of being an armed habitual criminal and two counts of unlawful possession of weapons by a felon. He's being held on $100,000 bond.

Both are charged in the death of 93-year-old Russell Reed in Sterling, where Nicholas Sheley lived. Their next court date is scheduled for August 27th.

Nicholas Sheley is suspected of bludgeoning eight people to death in late June before his capture outside a bar near St. Louis. The alleged victims range in age from a 2-year-old child found with three other bodies in a Rock Falls apartment to the 93-year-old Reed.

He is charged in Missouri with killing Tom and Jill Estes of Sherwood.
