    Update: Arkansas Road Conditions

    The Arkansas Dept. of Emergency Management reports the following road conditions:

    ASHLEY COUNTY – HANNOCK BRIDGE IS UNDER WATER. HWY 133 SECTION 1 AT LOG MILE 3.47 CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.  TRAFFIC REROUTED TO HWY 189.  HWY 189 SECTION 5 HAMBURG TO HWY 82 TO JCT OF HWY 52 SECTION 0 BACK ONTO HWY 133.

    BRADLEY COUNTY- HWY 160 WEST FROM HWY 63 TO THE BRADLEY COUNTY LINE CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING AND TREES DOWN.  TRAFFIC RE-ROUTED OVER TO HWY 63. HIGHWAY 63 SOUTH OF HERMITAGE.  RISING WATER IS COVERING THE ROAD IN SEVERAL PLACES, AND THE HWY DEPARTMENT IS CLOSING THE ROAD TO TRAFFIC.  THIS IS THE MAIN ARTERY FROM WARREN TO EL DORADO, AND ALTERNATE ROUTE HWY 160 WAS CLOSED ABOUT 4:30 THIS MORNING.  

    CALHOUN COUNTY – ADVISED SEVERAL ROADS IN THE COUNTY WERE IMPASSABLE, INCLUDING HWY 203, WHICH IS BLOCKED.  LOCAL COORDINATOR REPORTED HWY 167 MILE MARKER 9, NORTH OF HAMPTON, HAS WATER ACROSS ROAD.  ASP IS ON SCENE. WATER OVER BOTH LANES OF HWY 167 BETWEEN HAMPTON & THORNTON.   CHAMPIGNOLLE CREEK HAS FLOODED ITS BANKS WEST OF HAMPTON AND IS FLOWING ACROSS HWY 278.   TRAFFIC IS STILL MOVING, AND THIS ROAD CURRENTLY REMAINS OPEN BUT IS HAZARDOUS.  

    CLARK COUNTY – HWYS 7/8/51 CLOSED BY AHTD DUE TO WATER. HWY 51, SECTION 2A CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER HWY 7 SOUTH OF ARKADELPHIA AT OUACHITA RIVER CLOSED DUE TO RIVER FLOODING. TREES DOWN ON SEVERAL HIGHWAYS, HIGHWAY 7 N AT IRON SPRINGS, 70 WEST AT MONTGOMERY COUNTY LINE.  

    GARLAND COUNTY – TREES DOWN AT FOUNTAIN LAKE SCHOOL ON HWY 7.   HWY 5 IN HOT SPRINGS IS CLOSED DUE TO TREES AND POWER LINES DOWN. HWY 7 & 5 NORTH OF HOT SPRINGS CLOSED DUE TO TREES AND POWER LINES DOWN.  

    GRANT COUNTY – TREES AND POWER LINES DOWN ON 291 BETWEEN TULL AND PRATSVILLE.  

    HEMPSTEAD COUNTY – HWY 355 IN FULTON AT THE RAILROAD UNDERPASS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.   

    LONOKE COUNTY – HWY 89 NORTH OF LONOKE NEAR      FURLOW,  SOME AREAS UNDER WATER WITH VEHICLES  STILL PASSING.      HWY 89 AT SAILOR ROAD, FARMER OVERPASS, UNDER WATER, NOT PASSABLE.

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY – TREES DOWN AT 70 WEST AT MONTGOMERY COUNTY LINE.  

    PULASKI COUNTY – TREES DOWN ON HIGHWAY 7N AT IRON SPRINGS. HWY 10 @ CANTRELL ROAD AT NORMANDY CLOSED DUE TO TREE BLOCKING THE ROAD.  

    SCOTT COUNTY – HWY 80 AT LOG MILE 1 NEAR HON CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.  

    YELL COUNTY – HWY 28 SECTION 3A LOG MILE 3.13 CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER. APPROXIMATELY THREE QUARTERS OF A MILE ON HWY 80 NEAR WALTREAK IS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.



    The state Highway Department reports the following road closures:








    • Ashley County - Highway 133 (High Water)



    • Bradley County - Highway 160, west from Hwy 63 to Bradley Co. line (Flooding/Trees Down)



    • Bradley County - Highway 63 south from Hermitage city limits to Highway 160 (High Water)



    • Calhoun County - Highway 172 (High Water)



    • Calhoun County - Highway 274 (High Water)



    • Clark County - Highway 51 (High Water)



    • Hot Spring County - Social Hill Rest Area (Power Outage)



    • Ouachita County - Highway 7 (Road Washed Out)



    • Pulaski County - Highway 10/Cantrell At Normandy (Tree Down)



    • Scott County - Highway 80 near Hon (High Water)



    • Yell County - Highway 28 (High Water)
