Rebecca Caroline Turchi, 45, wife of Ron Turchi, a previous local business owner and controversial member of the Pine Bluff Civil Service Commission, befriended an 84-year-old man.
Police say she gained his trust and through a confidence scheme stole over $150,000 from him. Rebecca Turchi told the victim she had access to profitable stocks and securities that she could sell to him. The victim purchased over $150,000 of these non-existent stocks. Officers say Rebecca Turchi provided him with counterfeit forged documents she purported to be the stocks.
A warrant was issued for her arrest and she is presently is a fugitive. It is believed she and her husband may have moved to Hot Springs.
Rebecca Caroline Turchi is approximately 5' 5" tall and weighs 197 pounds. According to prior arrest information has multiple tattoos. She also has brown hair and brown eyes. She has been known to alter her appearance in the past.
