Little Rock cab driver survives being shot in the face

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Little Rock police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection to a shooting that took place early Sunday morning near 12th and Jackson streets.

Sebastian Salvador was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Pulaski County jail around 1 p.m.

The shooting happened on Sunday at 3:24 a.m. on the 5400 block of West 12th Street.

A driver for Yellow Cab told police he was sitting in his cab when Salvador walked up to the vehicle and fired into the passenger side. According to the police report, the driver said Salvador then got into a Chevy Avalanche and took off.

The driver was transported to a local hospital but is expected to be okay. 

Salvador is facing several charges including battery, terroristic act, unlawful discharge of a weapon, leaving the scene of an accident and theft by receiving.

He's being held on a $35,000 bond.
