PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Pine Bluff police have captured a man they say drove by Pine Bluff High School firing shots.
Police have arrested Devonte Parker, 18, for unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm on school property. Parker has tattoos on the back of both his hands.
Police say Parker drove by Pine Bluff High School on April 27 and fired shots.
According to detectives, they received information that Parker had fled to Dumas. Assisted by Dumas Police Department, Desha County Sheriff's Office, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Parker was found in the Mitchellville community, just north of Dumas.
Police say after a brief pursuit on foot through a wheat field, Parker was taken into custody. He is being held at Jefferson County Detention Center.
