LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Trial has been delayed for a former Philander Smith College admissions director who is charged with sexual misconduct.
George Gray was to have been tried on Thursday on charges of sexual assault and directing a sexual performance by a child under 17. The new trial date is Aug. 9 before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Herb Wright. Gray pleaded not guilty.
Gray was arrested in October after police received a complaint from a minor teenager that Gray assaulted her in his office.
Officials at the Little Rock campus said after Gray's arrest that they had investigated the incident and that Gray had resigned.
