CORNING, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say Corning police shot and killed a man while responding to a disturbance call late Tuesday night.
Authorities tell Jonesboro television station KAIT (http://is.gd/tnxZWV) that once officers arrived, they were confronted by a man who "demonstrated force" against the officers. Authorities say police opened fire and killed the man.
Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say one officer suffered a minor injury but he did not require hospitalization.
The shooting remains under investigation and the names of the officers and the man have not yet been released.
