BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Corrections officials say two inmates have escaped from work-release sites in Blytheville.
Department spokeswoman Shea Wilson says the inmates were discovered missing at 8 p.m. Wednesday from two separate job sites in Blytheville. The missing inmates are: 42-year-old John Laxton Jr., who was serving a 20-year sentence for theft, and 46-year-old Danny Rankins, who was serving a 20-year term on drug convictions.
Officials believe the pair is traveling together and that they may have been picked up by a woman driving a green Kia.
Laxton is a white man, weighing 164 pounds and standing 5 feet 4 inches tall. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
Rankins is a white man, weighing 160 pounds and standing 5 foot 7 inches tall. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.
