BAUXITE, Ark. (KTHV) - A Bauxite man is facing rape charges, according to officers.

Police say 20-year-old Jonathan Soloman is facing three counts of rape, three counts of sodomy, and terroristic threatening. They say the victim was a 16-year-old male who was 15-years-old when the incidents first occurred.

According to police, Soloman forced the victim to have sex with him over a several-month period by threatening to kill him if he told anyone.

Officers say the incidents reportedly occurred at the victim's grandmother's home while she was sleeping. The victim told police that he screamed for help, but that his grandmother  didn't hear him.

Police say Soloman reportedly met the victim at church and was "just trying to help him and give him guidance." They say Soloman was aware of the victim's age, and that he has admitted to officers that he had sex with the victim.

According to Bauxite police, Soloman was taken into custody on August 6. He's being held at the Saline County Jail.
