Fifty-two-year-old Michael S. Parker was arraigned Thursday after authorities searched his home early Wednesday.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a central Arkansas man faces charges of being a felon in possession of firearm and explosive material after authorities found explosives and guns at his Mablevale home.
Fifty-two-year-old Michael S. Parker was arraigned Thursday after authorities searched his home early Wednesday. Prosecutors say officers seized a stick of military-grade dynamite and explosive materials in addition to a12-gauge shotgun and a .38-caliber revolver.
Prosecutors say Parker was previously convicted of methamphetamine-related charges and that it's illegal for him to possess firearms or explosives because he's a convicted felon.
His lawyer, Latrece Gray, didn't immediately respond to an email or phone message left Thursday.
