BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - Benton Police said an armed robbery suspect was caught in the act at a local Walgreen's Pharmacy.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the scene of an armed robbery, and arrested James Miller, 22, after he jumped the pharmacy counter with a knife.
Lt. Jeff Kling said he was the first to find Miller in the store and apprehended him after a short foot chase across the business's parking lot.
Miller is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Unauthorized Use of Another Person's Property to Facilitate a Crime, Theft of Property, Carrying a Weapon, and Fleeing.
A second suspect, Christopher Ahrendt, 26, was also arrested, said police; he was identified as the driver of the getaway vehicle, and was arrested in Grant County.
Ahrendt is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Unauthorized Use of Another Person's Property to Facilitate a Crime, and Theft of Property.
Miller and Ahrendt were both also connected to pharmacy burglary in Grant County, which is still under investigation by police there.
