LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Attorneys for an Arkansas doctor convicted in the bombing of the head state's medical board is asking a federal appeals court for a rehearing of his appeal.

A filing by attorneys for Randeep Mann on Thursday asks the full U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals to hear Mann's appeal of his conviction.

A three-judge panel of the court in December upheld Mann's convictions for conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and illegal possession of a machine gun. But the court dismissed a second machine gun conviction and ordered that his life sentence be reconsidered.

Mann's attorneys want the full court to rehear the appeal.

Man was convicted in 2010 in connection with a 2009 bomb attack that nearly killed Dr. Trent Pierce.
