LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A former employee of Safety and Security with the Little Rock School District has been taken into police custody after he was accused of sexual assault against a child.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis, with the Little Rock Police Department, said Miguel Cazares, 42, of Little Rock, was arrested Feb. 11 after a yearlong investigation centered on a mother's accusation that he touched her daughter inappropriately on two separate occasions.
Davis said the child was in Cazares' care once around October or November 2011 and a second time in March 2012.
Cazares has been charged with second-degree sexual assault.
In addition to working for the Little Rock Police Department, he has also worked as a security guard at the Kroger on Baseline Road and as a security officer at the Mexican Consulate.
There is currently no word on when he is expected in court.
