  • WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (KTHV) -- West Memphis authorities are on the hunt for thieves targeting churches.

In Procter, early Sunday morning a church was hit; thieves broke out windows and stole appliances, but not before getting a bite to eat.

"They took the juice, drank out of it, left it open, took all the cookies and chips," Pastor Lillian Hodges, from the Blessing Thru Faith Church.

They took heaters, keyboards and everything else they could get their hands on.

Church members were in the process of building a new church next door, which was also vandalized

Two other churches down the road have also been hit. Many are taking heed and adding security to their sanctuaries, like dead bolt locks.
