34-year-old woman found dead in home, police investigating as homicide

Police said there was no sign of a struggle.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Little Rock police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found dead in her home on Sunday. 

Around 2 p.m., police were dispatched to the 6900 block of W. 34th Street in reference to a dead body. 

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim’s mother who was at the house to check on her daughter, 34-year-old Katrina Hampton because she had not heard from her recently. 

Once inside the home, the mother found Katrina dead on the floor and immediately called 911.  

Detectives and CSSU personnel responded to the scene. The exact cause of death has not been determined, however the death did appear to be suspicious. 

The body was transported to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. On Monday, the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
