Children's Christmas gifts among items stolen from single mother

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — A Single mother in Rector bought her kids Christmas presents the night of Monday, Nov. 20 and left them in her truck. Someone stole the truck overnight, taking the presents and some of the kids' clothes with it.

"Me and my friend Matt had went shopping and got my children some Christmas presents, "Scott said. "I'm a single mother who gets no help what so ever and I didn't have much to spend on Christmas as it was, so my friend Matt helped me purchase a few things that night while sales were going on. My children are bad about taking their coats and shoes off in my truck as well and running in the house without them. So not only were their Christmas gifts taken, but their coats and several pairs of shoes were taken as well."

Scott said the incident has made her family feel unsafe and she is desperate to recover the presents. She doesn't think she will be able to buy more presents for her kids.

"Me and my kids both have lost our sense of security," Scott said. "And I'm not going to be able to replace those things, because as of now I'm not financially able. I'm begging anyone to help find my children's things."
