Hot Springs woman arrested for shooting boyfriend

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A Hot Springs woman was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 for shooting her boyfriend. 

Around 11 a.m., dispatchers with the Garland County 911 Communication Center received a call of possible shots fired at the 4100 block of Highway 290.

Garland County Patrol Deputies immediately responded to the call. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital by Lifenet. But his condition has not been released at this time. 

Investigators with the Garland County Criminal Investigations Division interviewed him and his girlfriend, 51-year-old Jane Miranda Miles. 

Miles was placed into custody and charged with first degree battery which is a class B felony. She will appear in court Feb. 19.
